Why Low-Code is the best Way to Realize your Startup Idea

Recently, I finished my first low-code development project and was amazed. This new concept helped me to develop beautiful Web applications in no time.
What is Low-Code development?
Low-code development is a graphical way to build Web applications. Developers do not write any lines of code any more. Instead they drag and drop different building blocks and configure well-defined frontend templates.
As low-code is not about writing code anymore, a larger audience can build software. Business users that want to solve a problem with a software solution do not need to wait anymore until the IT department has time and resources. They can start on their own to build an application that is enterprise ready and runs in the cloud days or weeks later.
There are several low-code development platforms. Yet, the market leaders according to Gartner and Forrester are Mendix, Outsystems and Microsoft Powerapps. Mendix provides a strong overall package and vision, Outsystems is similar and probably more targeted towards professional developers and Powerapps is great for integrating different Office 365 applications.
